Listen to your heart,listen to the spirit....

Greg was out of town the whole week, so I was up and down with the kids in all directions. No one wants to go to the grocery store at 6:00PM. No parking spot,long lines, but I felt that I should go to the grocery store and buy a plant and a card to Ms Lou. I looked the time and saw almost 6:00pm, but I felt even stronger that I should go or it would be too late. So I went, bought her a plant and bought a card, as I was choosing a card I couldn't stop the tears going down as I felt in my heart that was it, the last act of kindness and love I'd do for her,
Last night when Suzana was here in my house I told her that I dreamed all night about Ms Lou and in my dream she was happy and healthy as she used to be, she told me that was funny because a friend of ours told her the same thing yesterday.
This morning I got a message that said. " Today our mommy is an angel", it broke my heart, but I know she's in peace and painless.
Ms Lou bravely battled breast cancer for years, then bone cancer and just few month ago found out she had brain cancer. I'm glad I listened to my heart, to the spirit or I'd regret not doing what I did, because it would have been to late.

Game night

We had some friends over last night for a barbecue and game. I made my first smoked ribs and they're very good,Greg is the one that always make it, but he wouldn't be hm early enough to do it. Greg made picanha of course and everybody brought something. That was so nice and relaxing, the weather was perfect, I love Texas, even though sometimes I miss TN.
We played a game that the kids could play too, we played PIT, the kids likes that one, later they played their own game.

I showed this picture to Greg and I told him I'd love to have one baby goat, he told me that's fine we could eat it on X-mas. He's so weird.

More Camping...

My sweet Doutche had a great time too, he was so good and all the kids are crazy about him. He's my baby :-) I'll put more pics later, I'm soooo tired I want to go to bed.

Spring Break

This was the first Spring Break in years that Greg was here and not in Europe. We had great time. We went to see the Cirque Du Soleil and we loved it and we went camping and Javier,Cassia and their boys came with us.
We had a great time, Javier and Greg did all the cooking and it was excellent. I forgot how was sleeping in a tent, but it wasn't that bad, I sure missed our camper that was stolen from the storage place.
The girls was excited to teach Victor and Lucas how to make s'mores, they flew a kite, played baseball, did some fishing. Fun...fun....more sweet memories....

A friend....

Feeling very sad for a friend that had a miscarriage, I want to do something nice for her tomorrow.Just bake something and drop it off. I know nothing will make the pain go way, I've been there and it's very hard, I had morning sickness for over 2 month knowing there was no baby, all the craziness of the hormones going on. Hers was a normal miscarriage she can start trying in 3 month. My was a molar pregnancy and I had to wait for 1 year to try again and then came my sweet Thais Cristina. I'll pray for her next pregnancy be fine and she can have her sweet baby, she'll be an awesome mother.

I can't believe it!

Today I went to the mall with Chad exchange some things for him, then he waited for me while I had a hair cut,we went for lunch. Chad and I had a great time.
Went home got Tatiana and Thais, we had made plans to spend sometime together, they wanted to buy some necklace, little things. We're singing in the car,stop at the red light and somebody just went right in the back of my car.

I couldn't believe two teenagers in the car, they couldn't believe either. I was very mad and I said some things before I got out of the car. Thank goodness I speak another language, too bad the Lord understands Portuguese. I wouldn't ever scream at them.Poor girl she was so nervous, she said. " I'm so sorry and I have insurance", at the end I apologized, even though they didn't have any idea of what I said and I was still inside of my car, from my expression they could tell I was upset and I explain that I was frustrated it's a two year old car going back to the shop in a period of less than 3 month. I told them " hey, that's why we pay insurance, most important we're all okay. More new parts for my car.

Got the insurance info, apologized with the Lord too even though what I said wasn't that bad,went shop with the girls. Got home, got ready and went for my date with Greg and had a good time with him too. I still a little frustrated, but at the end is just material things that will be fixed. Cody will be 17 soon, Chad will be 16 in November, so if this happens to them I want people to treat them with respect.So I did just that with the girls.

Shoes

Soraya always says that small people likes big things, big hills,big purses. She took pictures of some of my shoes. She's right I like big hills and big purses. I tell her that my husband is 6" 1, me??? well I'll tell my age, but not my height. Sorry Soraya I love my hills and if they didn't exist probably I'd have invented them. I love shoes.That's me you can find me at 10:00am sometimes on my pajamas and 12:00 on my hills at HEB. She says that because she's 5"10.

My friend Soraya....

Soraya is a great friend of mine, the kind that you like or you don't. I confess that took me a while to like her and she knows that and normally I like everybody. She has a big heart and she speaks her mind.
Couple of years ago someone from church told me if God decided to destroy the world he would start with Brazil, I was so surprised with the comment that I wasn't sure what to say, so I asked why she thought God would start with Brazil. So she said our swimming suit are too small, we do topless, Carnaval and other things that I don't want to write here, so I asked her if she has been in Brazil, she said no. I just wanted to laugh, but nicely I told her, yes the swimming suit are very small, it's the culture and no one really cares, my dad wears speedo.I asked my family and friends not send me and my girls swimming suit because we don't use that small. Very few Brazilian do topless, most of the people that do topless are the American and European. I told her I love carnaval, I have the brazilian channel and watch every year. Then for my surprise Soraya that I didn't like much did all the speech and I was speechless, because she said everything that I wanted to say and didn't. After that we started talking more and I asked her how she new so much about Brazil and Brazilians.
She just send me some pictures of my pantry that she wanted to put in face book and I said "No", she said that my pantry reminds her the movie sleeping with the enemy.Only Soraya would think that. She said my pantry would drive her crazy and every time she comes over she'll mix up few of my cans. Weird.
